It's a bedtime tradition that began with Little Nutbrown Hare, and each night we try to outdo the last...I love you to the moon and back...to the beach and back...to the mountians...and one of my favorites, "to Jesus and the angels" and back...We never imagined we would be saying, I love you to Africa and back...it seems like the furthest imaginable place, but yet in God's perfect timing, we plan to go.... to Africa and back!!! And when we get back, we will have another little cheek to kiss goodnight...please keep us in your prayers and enjoy this journey with us!

In the midst of autumn

We are really enjoying this season...the crisp mornings, sunny afternoons, outdoor parties, camping, leaf piles, and my personal favorite, the salted caramel mocha! I am a known "summer lover", but I have to admit I really do love this time of year...Maybe because it is the beginning of what I consider to be the busy time of year, which means excuses to spend extra time with friends and family, celebrating all that we have to be thankful for! Maybe my new found love for fall comes from the fact that my sweet daughter was born in the fall, five years ago. I can still feel the anticipation of her arrival as the sweltering summer heat gives way to cool breezes...and once again, in the fall, I feel anticipation...this time the circumstances are different, but I feel, as before, the anticipation of seeing my little child's face for the first time. Yes, we are still waiting for that first glimpse of who he (or she) might be, and again, I remind myself..."In God's perfect timing..." As before, in the meantime, we are filling the time with making memories!!! We have recently finished a photo session with an amazing photographer, and we captured some memories to last our lifetime! My next post will include details of how you can help with our fundraising efforts and capture your own family memories! As always, thank you for your continued questions as to how our adoption process is going and for all of the prayers and support! Enjoy our fall photo journal...
